Thor Restored LP08

The 1914 Erfurt Artillery is owned by Mr Mark Mansour of Washington, DC.  When it was purchased someone had removed the bluing from it.  This Luger was restored by Ted's Luger Strawing Service in 2002, located in Rio Rancho, NM in the United States.   I prepped the metal to square up the edges, while protecting the proofing and acceptance markings.  The main parts consisting of the Barrel, receiver, frame, side plate, sear bar, front and rear toggle links, breech block, extractor and parts of the rear sight are rust blued in a rich DWM bluing.  The internal surfaces of the receiver and frame upper and magazine well are polished to the white and the usual small parts are straw coloured.  Those small parts include the safety lever, trigger, magazine release button, take down lever, ejector.  The toggle axle pins, grip screws and the two sear and magazine release leaf springs are fire blued.  The 1914 Erfurt Artillery is one of the rarest Artillery Lugers made.  Ted's Luger Strawing Service  has restored around 10 Artillery Lugers in the past year.  See Thor's Luger website at http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman/   for additional information on Luger restorations.
